We wanted to share an exciting opportunity Michelle has been given! Every year for the past 20 years UNC's Habitat for Humanity has sent students to Honduras for an alternative spring break trip. This trip is centered around SERVICE! The 16 students who were selected, Michelle being one of them, will spend their days helping Honduran masons build houses for the local community. By them being there, they will save Honduras Habitat for Humanity 6 months of build time & the families will receive their houses faster! The best part about H4H? They're a HAND-UP not a hand-out. The students will actually get to meet the families they build homes for because each family has to put in 100 hours or more of their own volunteer time into their homes too! 68.2% of the area Michelle is going to lives in poverty. This is a cause that means so much to her as she has volunteered for Habitat since her junior year of high school. We are sharing the groups Go-fund-me to help spread the word and get the group to Honduras! It would be amazing to send 16 hardworking college students to a place where they can make a difference! Thank you for any and all donations (or even shares!) We appreciate you all so much ❤️ https://www.gofundme.com/h4h-service-trip-to-honduras It’s beginning to look a lot like Thanksgiving...and then it’s only 6 more Monday’s until Christmas!
